I didn't met what you have met for I write only pure ASM source code.
So can't u write pure asm code too and masm it into obj module before the
whole link procedure? By the way, i think the command line para of cl.exe /Fa can 
help you write write asm code.

VxD_CODE_SEG defines generic code segment which can be moved by the os during 
the OS's life and of course VxD_LOCKED_CODE_SEG can't be moved which pay for 
some efficiency.
If your code is addressed absolutely, you maybe need VxD_LOCKED_CODE_SEG.
