Computer Engineer Position Available

Antarctic Support Associates, support contractor for the National Science 
Foundation,  based in Englewood, Colorado, is presently recruiting for a C
omputer Engineer, in support of the United States Antarctic Program (USAP).

This position will be responsible for the analysis, design and implementation 
of computer systems and applications at USAP locations in Antarctica, New 
Zealand, South America and CONUS. Position will be responsible for analyzing 
user requirements and developing solutions to the needs. Applicant should 
have a strong analysis, design and programming background.

Minimum of four years of diversified experience in analysis, design, 
programming and implementation of applications and systems under a variety of 
operating systems, such as MS-DOS, OS/2, Windows NT, Apple System 7.x, 
Novell 3.x/4.x, Unix or OpenVMS required. Knowledge, experience using and 
developing applications and systems using various network protocols, such as 
IPX/SPX, TCP/IP, Appletalk, NETBIOS/NETBUI and DECnet desired.  Understanding 
of bridges, routers, concentrators, SNMP-based network management software, 
electronic mail and the Internet desired. Experience and ability to program 
and develop applications in at least one high-level language, preferably 
C/C++.

Must be able to pass physical and dental examinations required for deployment 
to Antarctica. Applicant must be U.S. Citizen.
