Twice now in the past 6 months, I've seen a rash of solicitation phone calls at my home, coinciding with large marketing campaigns by US West, pushing their new Call Privacy services. Perhaps it's just a coincidence, but I find this suspicious. If this has also happened to you, and you also think there may be something fishy going on, there's something you can do: The Public Utilities Commission (PUC) oversees the activities of US West. If they receive enough consumer complaints on this issue, they might investigate the situation, and do something about it if there is in fact a problem. If you would like to submit a complaint to the PUC, the phone is 303-894-2000. E-mail: puc@dora.state.co.us Website: http://www.dora.state.co.us/puc/
