   I am searching for Denver-area residents who can talk about Christmas
"shopping-season syndrome."
   I am a freelance writer in Philadelphia looking to write a piece about
people's quests for those popular, white-hot gifts that appear each Christmas
and invariably sell out in every store.
   If you have any funny, scary or just plain odd anecdotes about unusual
tactics you have taken to obtain a desired Christmas item, please post them to
