If I had a pacemaker:

I'd be more interested in knowing why my pacemaker responds any
differently from normal based on the date...

Does my pulse need to be faster in November than it does in
March?

Does my pulse slow down at 2am based on the assumption I'm sleeping?
What if I get up in the middle of the night to visit the bathroom?
Am I going to end up gasping on the hall carpet until my pacemaker
decides it's now 6am and increases my heart rate?

The only time-conscious thing I want my pacemaker to do is know
how long my battery has been in there so it can remind me it
needs changing, and that's merely an elapsed time counter
irrelevant to the date.  (Although a battery level checking
circuit in addition would be nice)
