I believe he was being sarcastic, as was I.  It probably was missed by Mr. Cruz, who seems determined to be somewhat dense about this matter.  I've never committed a crime with one of my guns (which includes an AK-47), but I know my ex-wife prevented one in a dark parking lot downtown a few years ago.  A lowlife followed her to her car but beat a hasty retreat when she produced a pistol and turned on the interior light so he could see it.  I imagine he went looking for an easier target.

I don't carry a weapon on my person, but I have one available anytime I get in the car.  I also keep my doors locked when I drive.  There's no point in being stupid.

I have often wondered how far some of the massacres the media loves so much would have gotten if one of the victims had been able to return fire.  It seems to me most of these scumbags are damned brave when there's no danger to them.  It's a little different when somebody shoots back.
