In December 2002, my wife purchased a package of "Quaker Honey Nut" instant oatmeal. While preparing one of the few remaining packets, she discovered tiny black insects which were present in the dry oatmeal. She told me she saw small black bits in other packets, but did not look closely and dismissed them as parts of the oatmeal shell. She was horrified. She is desperately afraid of all insects and here she ingested a whole lot of them. She was sick to her stomach and spent a very long time in the "ladies" room. We opened the remaining packets and discovered more bugs - all dead (thank God). It's been more then a year and she still won't touch any oatmeal. I was outraged. But I was really outraged when I contacted the company and heard their comments. Please visit www.substringo.com/bugs and read all the sections and become even more educated consumers. Sincerely, Jean Neftin
