Ok, how about stories I witnessed and experienced first hand over two
years of Promise Keepers, two summers ago and three summers ago.(last
year I left town).

This is a rehash of a discussion that occured in this group last year
and led to the creation of boulder.pk

Jill Lundquist, myself and a couple of others all related incidents
we had first hand experience with. Most of the other stories I have
"heard" are consistent with what I personally witnessed, men peeing
in Boulder creek, men accosting women on the Boulder Creek path, and
behaving rudely in commercial establishments around town. Since a
great many of these men were wearing Promise Keeper shirts and in the
vicinty of the stadium I don't think it is unreasonable of me to
conclude that they were part of the PK conference.

Note: With 60,000 attendees even if only 1/2 of 1 percent were acting
in an inappropriate manner that still translates to 3000 men, a sizable
number and large enough to be very visible.

For the record the residents of University Heights(not east Boulder but
right across from the stadium), were very vocal after the conference
two years ago that the behavior of the PK'rs was worse than they'd
ever seen after a concert or football game. PK had made no arrangements
for traffic direction, inadequate arrangements for port-o-potties, and
not accurately estimated the impact of the conference on neighborhoods
around the stadium. Last year PK took steps to prevent a reoccurence of
these incidents. The person in charge of these arrangements(himself a member
of PK) made comments in the Denver Post that he had seen some of the
inappropriate behavior the year before and wanted to make sure there was
no reoccurrence. I did not hear a large number of complaints about last
year's PK conf. as opposed to the two years previous to that. Since I
decided to leave town this time I have personal incidents, positive or
negative, to relate.

Note: all followups are directed to boulder.pk
