Protests are useless against governments.  Governments always win,
and protestors always fail.  There is no fighting against city hall.
Anyone who thinks otherwise is putting themselves into harm's way.
Government would just as soon kill you as look at you.  And that is
because government can do anything they want, at any time they want,
with impunity.  Government isn't accountable to anyone.  Government
is what religious fanatics call "God."

Protest movements of any variety, or those pursuing any cause, are
born of a cult following.  Some charismatic leader comes along and,
through cleverly-crafted lies and deceit of the most insidious and
subtle sort, convinces unwary and inexperienced humans within his,
her, or their, confidence that beneficial change is possible without
wholesale genocidal bloodshed and pandemic tragedy killing and ruining
everyone and everything in their path, -- and then some, --provoking
ten-fold retaliation if not vastly more, e.g., Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Rarely does evil die quietly or go gently into that good night.  Take
one evildoer out and there will be a thousand more to take his place.
Evil always wins.  Kindness, gentleness, honesty, generosity, good
will, has always been a losing proposition against evildoers.

The enemy cannot be defeated one by one nor several by several.  It
is only through self-sacrifice and the most lethal methods available,
say cutting-edge, totally scientific state of the art germ warfare,
that the enemy can be utterly and thoroughly destroyed.  Short of that,
these young and foolish protesters are merely wasting not only their
own time, but also the time of government agents whom are tasked with
co-opting, subduing and frustrating such feeble attempts at attacking
the unassailable, indomitable, forces of evil which rule this world.

Evil has always prevailed.  Anyone who fights against it will become
disappointed and disillusioned.  Best thing to do is avoid interaction
with evil like you'd avoid the plague.
