Dear Folks, Hey I don't want to rain on your parade, but you don't know what better ice cubes are. Ice Cubes made with hot water have less dissolved air in them. Since there are fewer air bubbles in the ice they last longer in your drink. I have no proof that fewer bubbles make ice better but an empirical experiment should suffice: make two trays of ice cubes one with hot and one with cold. After freezing put them in a drink and measure the temperature every five minutes. Gee, you missed out on a whole series of stories of the ice man delivering ice up four flights of stairs in pre-WWII America. Jeff -- -- Jeffrey S.
