SAILING IN WESTERN CANADA

PRINCESS LOUISA INLET BY 65' SAILING YACHT:
Spend 6 days aboard a luxurious yacht, experiencing some of the most
spectacular sceneries in Canada.
This backpacker special cruise includes many of Canada's favourite
past-times: sailing, hiking, fishing and viewing amazing scenery and
wildlife.
The destination is a remote inlet at the end of a huge fjord on the
Sunshine Coast that can only be reached by boat or sea-plane.
Set the sails, navigate around coastal islands, fish for almost anything,
hike from the sea to the snow and wade in waterfalls.

"On the trip we caught a shark, some cod, and saw bald eagles, seals and
whales.
Sailing was a blast and the spectacular scenery made the 6 day trip an
unbelievable experience." Paul Jones - England

So, all what you would need now is a sleeping bag, food, $395 per person,
and a camera. (trips will start in May and troughout the whole summer)

Cruise to Princess Louisa Inlet - 1 week of wonderful sights and relaxation

The princess Louisa Inlet is in one of the many beautiful British Columbia
marine parks. This fjord is like no
other in the world. It has a charm and scenic beauty no words can
adequately describe, it must be seen and
experienced to be known.
Far inland, approched from the Straights of Georgia, by way of Jervis
Inlet, this magnificent granite-walled
gorge was cut out by an ice glacier of milleniums past through the snow
tipped mountains that rise sharply
from the water's edge to a height in excess of 2100 meters or 7000 feet.
As placid as a Mountain lake, the
ocean waters of Princess Louisa Inlet move constantly with the tides.
Currents are practically non-existent
except for the 7-10 knot Malibu Rapids at the very entrance. The inlet is
almost completely enclosed, is 300
meters (1000 feet) deep and never more than 800 meters (1/2 mile) wide
inits 8 Km length.

Until mid-June the warm sun melting the snow of the mountains creates more
than 60 waterfalls which
cascade down the steep walls. The biggest is Chatterbox Falls at the head
of the inlet tumbles 40 meters
into the water to chatter the stillness that is otherwise disturbed only
by the murmor of boat motors or the
lap of water against hulls or pontoons. During July and August the waters
near the fall reach a comfortable
20 degrees Celsius and a sandy beach is ideal for swimmers.

Princess Louisa Inlet, called by the Natives "Suivoolot" meaning sunny and
warm, has beckoned sea
travelers since it was first seen by man. And, except for Seaplanes, the
sea is the only way there. No public
road is closer than 68 kilometers ( 40 miles).

The privilege of enjoying this bit of paradise comes through the generosity
and farsightedness of James
F. Macdonald. who saw and experienced the charm of Princess Louisa Inlet in
1919. He had learned of the
inlet from an uncle who had sailed it in 1907. He bought the land
surounding Chatterbox Falls in 1927 and
built a lovely log cabin unfortunately it was destroyed 1940 by fire. 1953
Mac. willed it to the yachtsmen of
the Pacific North West . The property passed to the Government of B.C. from
the international Princess
Louisa Society which to this day cares for this wonderful place on earth.

I have seen Princess Louisa Inlet, I dont need to see the rest of the
