The problems lay : with the design more than the manufacture and with the decisions : about what kind of cars to build--all clearly management : decisions. How can you possibly blame the workers and their : unions? what measure of control can you possibly imagine that : they had in the process? Well Serf (with a moniker like that I guess it is inevitable that you would staunchly support the workers), the workers had a share in the blame when imports eclipsed American models awhile back. The workmanship on cars in the late 70s and early 80s could tend to be a little shoddy. My mom bought a '79 Chrysler, overall a good car, as long as you went through and made sure all fasteners were tight. Brian
