I am trying to scheduling a summer program. -------------------------Problem to be solved-------------------- I need a program to schedule 200 students into 2 courses during the 2 day program. There are 7 full day courses offered(limited capacity). The goal is to have each student get their 1st and 2nd choice, but the main goal is to prevent students from getting stuck with 3rd and 4th choices while other students get 1st and 2nd choices. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Does anyone know of a program on the market that could solve this problem? If not, is this a common problem with a known algorithm. The brute force method is definitely not an acceptable solution. The goal is to have an equitable solution, it need not be the absolute best solution. Thank you, Adam Griff
