Assuming that the column with your "DA1-3"s in column 1 means "Row 1-3" the
necessary formula will be:

{=sum(if(A1:R3=5;1))}

You might replace the "5" in the formula with an other number in an other cell.
Please note that you have not to enter the curly braces (it's an array-form.).
Enter the formula without them and finish the line with CTRL-SHIFT-ENTER.
