UNIX Spreadsheet for HP-UX 730

I would like to install a spreadsheet program on a Hewlett Packard
730 workstation with a UNIX operating system. I'd appreciate knowing
what companies if any have produced programs for this platform, and
any opinions about which programs are better than others.

Thanks.

We use Xess from Applied Information Systems 1-800-334-5510
on a HP 9000 series 300, though I understand it is also available for
the 700 series. It less intuitive then say Excel, but has more
scientific and statistical functions. It also allows for real-time links
so that data can be continually updated. It could act as a front
end for a data acquisition system. I find it a little slow on a HP340,
but on a 730 it should fly. Ask for a demo and make your own decision.

One of the things I like about it is that it can export to either
PostScript printers or to a LaTex file.

I've used (and liked) Wingz from Informix. The latest rev for the HP
is Wingz 1.1b, but Wingz 2.0 is coming out RSN. Nice, well-behaved X
application. I'd contact your local Informix person for more info.
