I have been using Wingz on the Macintosh environment for three years now, and I am very happy with the application. I have created quite a complex script for following the helsinki stock exchange. despite of my efforts to keep the number of the spreadsheet files to its minimum, I have now more than 500 files totalling about 30 Mb. During the week I have seen several symptoms of breaking down on my old Mac+. After five days of intensive fixing and thinking I have to admit that the time has come, when I need a new computer. Macs are terribly priced here in Finland: with the price of fully functional 486 you get only Mac Classic II. I can use the speed of 486 and I think I will learn hacking the Windows, but will I lose my Wingz files and scripts? I know there is a Wingz version for the Windows, but can it use my scripts? Are Mac and the Windows versions of Wingz functionally similar? If not, can anyone tell the differences? Does the Wingz work decently under Windows? This is undoubtedly a large question, but when I get some answers, I can dive into the details.
