When the 2.0 version of Wingz comes out, could somebody please post an announcement on to the net? Wingz is quite poorly represented here in Finland, and I will have a hard time finding out the date otherwise. Thank you in advance. Olli-Pekka Myllynen myllynen@cc.helsinki.fi

Are there WingZ gurus in this group?
I'm just beginning in WingZ, and I am blocked by the following problems:
1- Is it possible to create fixed buttons (that don't move with the sheet)
I tried to put them in titles. They lose their associated script...
2- I managed to add menu bars and items, but only in Startup.scz. Is it a
feature?
3- Is it possible to find which keys are already used and/or to use
Alt-any?
I am using WingZ 1.1 on a SparcStation

They lose their associated script... This is normal; the buttons on the sheet will move when you move the sheet. You could kludge a way around this, but it wouldn't be pretty. > 2- I managed to add menu bars and items, but only in Startup.scz. Is it a > feature? Yes, this is a feature. You can add menus through any script though; I'm suprised you could only do it through startup.scz. However, that's the only way to get the menus added each and every time you start Wingz, short of modifying WZScript. (Modifyijng that script, BTW, isn't recommended, nor is it supported.) > 3- Is it possible to find which keys are already used and/or to use > Alt-any? Any keys already defined will appear in the menus. Defining Alt keys could be a problem, though. It would depend on how the terminal handles the Alt keys. > >I am using WingZ 1.1 on a SparcStation > >-- > || Philippe MUSSI (mussi@manolo.inria.fr) > INMOS || Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et Automatique > T9000 || 2004 route des Lucioles, BP 93, F-06902 VALBONNE CEDEX > V || FAX (33)93657858 Telex 970050F Telephone (33)93657891 Good luck, and have fun!
