I'm not able to find anything in TFM of Excel about the right scaling of graphics. What I wanna do is : I have two coloumns 1 10 2 20 3 30 4 40 10 100 20 200 ... ... Going to paint a diagramm Excel takes the first coloumn to be x but uses equal space between each x-axis value. Thus the space for 1 - 2 is equal to the space between 10 - 20 which I would like to see correct according to size of x-axis values. Any quick hint ? Try an XY (scatter or line) plot instead of a column plot. Try to read TFM and understand the difference between a CATEGORY axis and a VALUE axis. Good Luck.

If you select these two columns and then select file, new, chart from the menu you will get a question asking if the first coulumn is catagory labels, the first data series, or x-axis values. If you select catagory labels you will get the chart you are getting. If, however you select x-axis values, you will get an x-y plot and not a line plot. This will make the distance between the values on the x- axis relative to their numerical value. -- David Hole DHOLE@MENDEL.USU.EDU Utah State University FAHOLE@CC.USU.EDU Logan, UT Just say snow!
