Can someone recommend a book that gives examples of using spreadsheets to solve a variety of problems - sort of an 'Applied Spreadsheets' text? I'm teaching students how to use spreadsheets and I'd like to give them ideas on how to use spreadsheets beyond the budgets and balance sheet applications that most 'how-to' books describe. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Eleanor S. This is not a book with a variety of applications but they are not the usual ones Spreadstat by Steven S. Ross published by McGraw Hill. As the title suggests it is a guide to using spreadsheets--specifically Lotus-- for statistical and scientific work. I got this book when I realized I was going to have to learn Lotus and was looking for something that would keep me interested enough to do it. The copyright is 1988 so it could be out of print.
