For feeding data into a robot, I want to extract data from a spreadsheet
Excel on a Mac, in a simple way.
The data must be written in way suitable for input to
a fortran program running under VMS. Does anybody know about such
a program, macro etc.?

Thought #1:

Use an Excel macro to extract the information you want and write it out
in Text format into a file.

Thought #2:

Look at "Frontier", a Mac "shell scripting language", from UserLand, Inc.
