Backup to Optical Drive?

Hi all,

We have purchased a 2.6 gig Plasmon optical drive for imaging storage.
It's attached to a workstation on our Novell 4.1 network. I would
like to use this drive as a backup device, but am having a hard time
finding software to do so. Does Fastback still exist? I remember
this being able to back up to *anything*.

Ideally, I would like this product to also back up the Novell server.

I've tried Plasmon with no luck so far (a tech is *supposed* to be
faxing me something, but I haven't gotten it yet). It almost seems as
though Seagate has something that will do this and even the Novell
server (NDS & all), but again, I'm being bounced from department to
department.

Any suggestions, any pointers at all would be greatly appreciated, as
I'm about to order more backup tapes!!!! There's got to be a better
way! :)

Thanks in advance,

Diane
