Colleagues: As partial fulfillment for the requirements of the Masters of Science in Information Systems at Pennsylvania State University, I am conducting a research project on the necessary professional skills for application developer/programmer success through the year 2000. The project is designed to make a valuation as to what skills an application developer/programmer will need to be successful in the future. In order to accomplish this objective, I need the help of experts like yourself who can provide information about their current positions as well as their opinions of what information systems will require in the future. Your help will be greatly appreciated. I hope you will participate in this study by filling out the questionnaire below. It will require about 5 minutes of your time. Please complete the survey below and return the results to me through an E-Mail reply to 74653.1373@COMPUSERVE.COM. Your reply will be kept in strict confidence and nothing about your profile will be revealed. Nothing is being coded in this survey. Individual answers will be used only in a composite report and will be of a statistical nature only. Your participation is completely voluntary. Thank you for your time and consideration. Please place an "X" to choose the appropriate answer(s) for each question. Please add any comments at the end of the survey. 1.
