====================================================================== Hi Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ====================================================================== ANNOUNCING "RIZWAN LABELS" VERSION 4.0 SHAREWARE Personal Mail List Manager FOR IBM COMPATIBLES ====================================================================== The long awaited Rizwan Labels version 4.0 has been finally released. This new version is almost a total rewrite of the original program and has many more useful features added. One obvious improvement, you will notice, is the all-new menu driven environment and it has much more... To download FTP to wuarchive.wustl.edu as anonymous and look for it under the "pub" directory. The program itself is compressed to the file named rl40.arc but there is also a help file named rl40.txt which contains downloading & uncompressing guideline. It will soon be available at other FTP sites. The ARC compression format used is compatible with, UNIX based ARC utility and the PCARC 5.x, and I suppose it is also compatible with PKARC (Katz), but I am not sure. I do not have access to the PKZIP (Katz) format. For those who are not familiar with the software here is a brief overview: Rizwan Labels 4.0 is a powerful mailing list database program for the IBM Compatible DOS based PCs. It was first developed in 1989 and is now at version 4.0. It is fully menu-driven and includes a conversion utility to export files to others programs such as wordprocessors and spreadsheets. It is exceptionally easy to use but yet powerful. It supports both dot-matrix and HP compatible laser printers, and can print labels on almost any form size for up to 4 columns across and unlimited number of rows. It also has a special feature to print mailing addresses directly onto the mailing envelope and it prints the return address automatically everytime. Plus, it has a special set of objects called "General Labels" which let the user enter free form text for designing e.g. disk labels, video cassette labels, rolodex, etc. and prints them using any three predefined borders with varying size. Furthermore, it provides record search and selection options for data manipulation of sub-sets within a file with easy menu commands. Also, it sorts records according to any desired field and allows the user to print reference lists/labels based on any record field eg. city, state, etc. It can also group records together within a file based on your custom group name, and you can have any number groups with a file and several files. To keep it short, if you try it out... you will know what's it all about. So good luck! ----------------------------
