On Friday, August 7th, Apple Computer lost its "look and feel" lawsuit against Microsoft. The judge rejected the basic concept of a "look and feel" test for software copyright infringement and made many other important rulings which were good news for our freedom to write software. As far as I can tell, funding Apple no longer seriously jeopardizes my basic freedoms. Therefore, assuming that Apple does not appeal, I will begin scanning the Apple newsgroups and forwarding the Apple postings to comp.archives. -- Adam J.
