For general information. Perhaps the best place for cd-rom related
questions, which are not connected to MsDos archives or the
utilities on them, is alt.cd-rom (the followups have been redirected
to go in there).

What I have in my config.sys using hitachi.sys is

DEVICE=C:\DOS\SETVER.EXE
DEVICE=C:\DOS\HIMEM.SYS
DOS=UMB
device=c:\dos\emm386.exe rame=e000 /noems /x=d200-d600
dos=high
COUNTRY=032,,C:\DOS\COUNTRY.SYS
FILES=30
devicehigh=c:\dos\ramdrive.sys 7000 128 256 /e
devicehigh=c:\sys\zansi.sys
device=c:\sys\hitachia.sys /D:MSCD000 /N:1 /P:260
shell=c:\command.com /p /e:1024
lastdrive=z

   All the best, Timo
