I for one, being a relative neophyte to UseNet, very much appreciate the
advice/help and guidance offered bye Prof. Salmi. I would be very
upset to see comments like these cause Timo to cease providing aid
to readers in general.

A couple of points for Stan;
a) put Timo Salmi and ts@ into your KillFile (of course then you will miss 
most of the interesting stuff...)
b) "the heck out of us" why not say 'out of me' I know I for one am not annoyed
with Timo's guidance, and I would be willing to bet the large majority of users
aren't either.
