A new version of the SAN Kit (Standard Algebraic Notation) chess
programming C language source code package has been uploaded to the
valkyries.andrew.cmu.edu site in the pub/chess/uploads directory:
-rw-r----- 1 ftp staff 81219 Oct 12 14:24 san.tar.Z
This new version, dated 1992.10.11, has been completely converted to
use the function prototyping facility of the ANSI C standard. It is
believed that this will help with porting to those platforms that
implement the old K&R C standard in differing ways. For the Macintosh
fans, I note that the above version was developed on a Mac Plus using
THINK C 5.0.3; it may be of interest for both potential chess
programmers and those who who like to examine yet another C
programming style.
The new version will be transferred from the upload area to the
pub/chess/misc directory soon; this directory still has the last K&R
style version of the SAN Kit:
