Last week I posted a request for overview texts about international
(non-US) gun law here. So far I received a handful of articles for
which I hereby thank the authors.

The articles are available via anonymous FTP from ftp.vmars.tuwien.ac.at
(128.130.39.16) in the directory /pub/misc/guns/gunlaw. The README file
there contains additional information.

The gun laws of the following countries have been described so far:

 - Austria
 - Finland
 - Germany
 - The Netherlands
 - Switzerland
 - United Kingdom

If you are versed in the gun laws of any country but these mentioned
above (or if you find some important points not covered in the
overviews) please send me mail (I can be reached as
holger@vmars.tuwien.ac.at). Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Note: I won't cover US gun laws. They are too diverse and are covered
by someone OTOSOTP anyway. If anybody has a copy of Mike Kielsky's
CCW survey handy, I'll include it for sake of completeness, though.
