Version 2.00 of Open Axess, a Windows 3.1 File Selection Dialog
Enhancement Program (supercedes pub/pc/win3/util/axess104.zip).

Open Axess makes it easier to use the Windows 3.1 Common Dialog Windows (in
COMMDLG.DLL) for file selection by:

1. automatically remembering a list of last accessed file, types, and
directories for each application that uses Common Dialog Windows.

2. allowing you to specify lists of additional Permanent files, types, and
directories for each application that uses Common Dialog Windows.

3. allowing you to optionally display the following file properties at the
bottom of a Common Dialog file selection window for a selected file:
     the file size in bytes,
     the date and time the file was last modified, and
     the file attributes: Read, Write, Archive, and Hidden.

4. allowing you to create and change to a new subdirectory from within a Common
Dialog file selection window.

5. allowing you to find a file from within a Common Dialog file selection
window and open the file by double-clicking on it.

This version provides the new Find File option, spiffy custom controls,
and the ability to edit the maximum number of entries in a list from
the configuration dialog window.  We also cleaned up the support for
Microsoft Project for Windows 3.0 and Powerpoint Viewer 3.0.

Open Axess v. 2.00 is available at ftp.cica.indiana.edu in either
pub/pc/win3/uploads/axess200.zip or pub/pc/win3/util/axess200.zip, depending on
when they move it and when you read this.  It will be available on CompuServe
later this week.
