Archive-name: auto/rec.arts.startrek.current/The-watch-in-Time-s-arrow I just downloaded a frame grab of the watch they found in the cave under San Fran in Time's Arrow. I think it says: To S.L.C. With Love 30 November 1889 I believe that Mark Twain's full name was Samuel Longhorn Clemens, and Data was transported back to the 1890s. Mark Twain also looked at his pocket watch several times during the show. This would lead me to conclude that the watch they found in the 24th century under San Francisco belonged to Mark Twain. Whether this is significant or not is another story. The frame grab is available as a gif via ftp on vab02.larc.nasa.gov in the /gifs/misc/startrek directory. The file name is "sttng503.gif".
