A compressed tar file of Umoria 5.5 is now available for anonymous FTP
from kukulcan.berkeley.edu, in the directory /pub/wilson/incoming.
Patches from 5.4 to 5.5 are also available. Get the file README.55 for
directions.

The source should soon appear in the official archives, and will also be
posted to comp.sources.games.

Players of previous versions of 5.x will only notice one significant
change. The maximum damage enchantment of a weapon is now equal to the
weapon's maximum damage, rather than a fixed +10. (As before, there is
a very slight chance that you can enchant a weapon beyond this level.)
Thus daggers will no longer be the best weapons for mid-level
characters.

Please send any bug reports to me.
