Archive-name: auto/comp.os.linux/announce-X8514-with-TCP-IP-avail Hi there, This is a quick first announcement of a newly compiled Xlinux.8514 from Kevin Martin, this time with TCP/IP support. It uses the jump-41 shared libs (same as in SLS-98). I haven't even had the time to put a README in, sorry. For those which need a tcp/ip-capable Server for their 8514, they can pick it up on my FTP-Server here: ftp.fht-mannheim.de: /pub/linux/local/X8514tcp.zip It's a zip-ped tar file. You will need unzip-50 to unwrap this file. A binary for Linux (again jump-41) is in the same directory, for those who don't have it yet. The X8514 Server is still based on the old X-v1.1 release, and therefore needs uncompressed fonts (the fonts in SLS-98 are compressed). -Martin -- Martin Rex | "Have the courage to take Rechenzentrum | your own thoughts seriously, Fachhochschule fuer Technik Mannheim | for they will shape you."
