I know it's sort of silly to keep hacking programs for Apollo's, but since
it is the only platform that we/I really use.
(We have one Sun 3/110 and one SGI whatever mips box)

So what else can I do :-)

Being not very please with the getty version shipped with the box, I ported
a program from one of the local gurus to be used under the BSD env.
The original is for execution on SysV platforms.

This program can be used a replacement for the standard /etc/getty and
then you should be able to use your Hayes modem a little better.
Try:
	ftp.eb.ele.tue.nl:/pub/apollo/pd-progs/agetty.shar

For remarks on the SysV version, please contact the original author.
	(The most recent SysV versions can be fetched at:
		ftp.win.tue.nl:/pub/unix/agetty.shar
	)

The BSD remarks can be dropped in my mail.

	Ciao, and enjoy

		Willem Jan
