Note: 
1. jpeg v3 appears in all/graphics/, but if it is Kim's version, then
  it is OS/2 2.0 only.

2. This is mainly for OS/2 1.x, as the 2.0-specific versions will be 
considerably faster.

3. This file can (should?) replace jpeg v3.


readme.txt file for OS/2 1.x-2 distribution of the JPEG version 4 software.

The enclosed executables were created with Microsoft C 6.00A with dmake 3.8
under OS/2. Small changes to the supplied makefile were required. The
command-line follows the usual UNIX-style syntax (input file is optional, 
and output is to stdout).

The JPEG executables compiled with gcc/2 for OS/2 by Meir I. Green
(mig@columbia.edu) are considerably faster than the 16-bit versions.
