Folks,

I had promised to get a copy of the ACCESS.bus specifications posted as soon
as they were available. Well, the ACCESS.bus Industry Group met last week and
we finally have the approved specifications available on line. You can get a
copy by using anonymous ftp on:

gatekeeper 16.1.0.2	gatekeeper:pub/DEC/TriAdd/A.bus_spec_sec_0_v2_0.ps
						  A.bus_spec_sec_0_v2_0.ps.Z
						  A.bus_spec_sec_1_v2_0.ps
						  A.bus_spec_sec_1_v2_0.ps.Z
						  A.bus_spec_sec_2_v2_0.ps
						  A.bus_spec_sec_2_v2_0.ps.Z
						  A.bus_spec_sec_3_v2_0.ps
						  A.bus_spec_sec_3_v2_0.ps.Z
						  A.bus_spec_sec_4_v2_0.ps
						  A.bus_spec_sec_4_v2_0.ps.Z
						  A.bus_spec_sec_5_v2_0.ps
						  A.bus_spec_sec_5_v2_0.ps.Z

For those of you who may not be familiar with ACCESS.bus, it's a serial bus
for relatively low speed devices. Some of it's relevant features are:

		* Support for up to 14 devices at a time.

		* 8 meters of electrical cable length.

		* Based on the Phillips/Signetics I2C (I Squared C) bus. The
I2C microprosseor is only about $2.00 in the US.

		* Easily applicable to keyboards, mice (pointers), bar code
readers, hand held scanners, and so on.

I hope that this gets you all started. More information can be obtained by
seding mail to triadd@decwrl.dec.com with your requests.

				Thanx,
				  AJ
