A friend (steveb@mtu.edu) has an unusual problem. MTU isn't on the Internet, but does let you access a gateway to it. When you get the Internet Gateway, it let's you do a telnet command to Internet hosts. But since the gateway isn't a login-able host, you can't use ftp. He'd like to use uucp. We have the appropriate chat scripts, and he is in fact accessing other sites he has uucp connects to this way, so we know it works. Is there any Internet archive site out there willing to permit anon uucp? My apologies if this has already been posted; the issue just came up. -- Steve Simmons ...!umix!itivax!scs Industrial Technology Institute, Ann Arbor, MI. "You can't get here from here."
