>How can a random UUCP site do anonymous FTP from an Internet site? Is there >a gateway for such things? I have heard rumors of a gateway at uunet.. In general, it cannot be done. Your only real course of action is to contact someone at an Internet site, make friends, and beg and plead for (a) an account; (b) them do the retrieval and mail it to you. If you know of something you want, the folks at UUNET will FTP it for you so that you can then download it via UUCP. They do this for their clients. For information on subscribing, send mail to uunet!uunet-request. Disclaimer: I'm speaking as an individual. /rich $alz -- Please send comp.sources.unix-related mail to rsalz@uunet.uu.net.
