Here you go.  I thought it would be about time for another announcement.
For all of you interested in X programs we have written some more utility
progrms.  Also there are some non-X programs now that you might find useful.

I hope you enjoy the software that the students at the
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee    are producing!

	A sign language program for the PC.  Given a string or character
	it will sign it back to you in a Window.
	Requires: MS-DOS, Windows 3.??, C++ if you wish to compile it

	This addes a signature to the end of a file that can be verified
	later.  If the program was changed the signature wont' match.

	A directory browser similar to that found on a Next.

	A combination of xwd and xpr in a nice interactive program.
	It allows you to cut the screen/window, save to a file, or print.
	Also, you can merge/edit picture images.
	A must for people who ever do screen cuts/captures and prints.

	It shows a keyboard on your screen and then you can type with
	your mouse.  It should be able to simulate a keyboard.

	Network analyzer.  Graphical info of ethernet(size, type, load, byts/s).
	Samples packets off ethernet.  Analyzes them.  Breaks the packet
	down into IP/TCP/port number.  Gives full details of what all
	bytes in the packet mean.  Allows you to select which packets to
	view.  
	Requires: Xw, Ultrix or Sun, root access to enable ethernet

	Has support for mouse, Lotus files, 5 different graph types.  
        It is currently being modified to support the latest SC and other

	An extra set of widgets not normally distributed with X11.  
	Called Xw.  This library is used to compile many of the programs.  
	This is not written by us, just copied from export.lcs.mit.edu.
        And some patches were applied to stop X11R5 from complaining so much.

	A weather program for X.  It takes satellite images from a ftp site
	and saves them them to make a slideshow of the clouds moving
	across the US.  It also gives weather info in different cities. 
 	Requires: Xw, Only works on B&W monitors, some hacking to get
		  everything to work correctly.
 	Comment: UW-Madison also has a program on poona.cs.wisc.edu that
	is like a TV news radar/temp map, but you have to pay to get the data.

	A new Xwebster program that supports pictures..  Type in a word
	and it will go the a Next machine and bring up, a dictionary
	entry, a thesaurus entry, or a picture of the word.
	Requires: Tiff viewer(xv or xloadimage), gs, NeXT for xwebster server.

	A modified version of xemacs that has all sorts of pulldown
	menus and buttons for all the commands.  Makes emacs look
	like a REAL word processor.  Apparently there is a new version
	called lemacs, but I can't get it to compile....

 	fident  File identification,like "file", but smarter.
	xlatex  get an idea of what latex type you want to use.
	xvoice  Let blind people use xterms. It will speak when he enters
		a window or when anything appears in the window.
	xmtalk  An X-Window "multi-talk", "teleconferencing" program
		Has Conference Chair or moderator,...
	srdev   Make fake devices on one machine that are linked to devices
		on other machines.
