Just in passing - I use a little program called "watchcat" which
co-exists happily with my fossil (X00). Watchcat monitors both
CD and the RING signals from the modem, and if the phone rings
more than 20 times without the modem answering will assume that
the BBS is stuck, and will reboot! This has saved me hassles on
a number of occasions :-)
