A new twist to multiple waffles (well maybe)

Just a note on what we have done here over the last few month with our
DOS based waffle system.

We currently have several nodes running under Novell Lite, and Waffle
works fine if you follow the DOC's that come with it ie add the entries
to your static file, a static file for each node etc..

However I have gone a step further and increased the processing time for
local logins by installing waffle on each node as well as the main comms
server (this node). This is a simple process and have done the following

 Node Files Common on Server
 ----------------------------------------------------------------------

 1 run1.bat
                        static1
                        all the waffle /directories
                                                      password/files/news
 2 run2.bat
                        static2
                        all the waffle /directories
                                                      password/files/news
 3 onwards ditto

In the run.bats I have included the line normaly in the autoexec.bat
set waffle=c:\waffle\static1 (or whatever the node number is).

In the static files I have pathed then local bar password, news and files
the server node has the spool dir to itself.

This also allows you to rename your organ: line to identify the
node people are using as well, ie this node says I am on the
Cserver (the dedicated uucp node) while the others refer to local
 logins ..

Not only has this increased the processing time but I have found no
slow down even at v32bis local and uucp connects. However when I ran
the same version of waffle with multiple static files I found that the
uucp connects to me were down by over 200cps because of the network
 delays.

I hope this helps someone out there.
