System 5.2.2 mailx doesn't handle replies to RFC822 From: lines
properly.  Does anyone have fixes?  Is this fixed in 5.3?

Well, it depends on what "handle replies to RFC822 From: lines"
means.  There were some problems with various 822 constructs,
including parenthesized comments, both in Mail and mailx; I posted
some fixes, which made it into 4.3BSD and S5R3 (so if you have source
to 4.3BSD and 5.2.2 handy, you can look at merging them - I think
most of the changes for this were in "aux.c").  However, it's still
not completely correct (although I think it handles most cases
correctly); I may finish fixes to those problems up and post them one
of these days.
