I like Modula-3 a lot, but while there may be great *potential* for
distributed computing in Modula-3, there isn't much available right
now.  For a really nice distributed programming language that's
available right now, check out SR, yet another fine language from The
University of Arizona.  Version 1 has been available for a few years;
version 2 is now available.  You can ftp it for free from
cs.arizona.edu.
