Hi,
Is it possible to perform client-server computing over a dial-up line?
If yes, I would like to know if there is any software that supports this and where to obtain it.
Thanks a million for your help.

There exist TCP/IP protocols for dial line operation, namely SLIP and PPP. So, since TCP/IP higher layer functions like Telnet and FTP are client/sever, then I'd say any client/server application using TCP/IP (eg. TCP) transport could operate over a dial connection via SLIP or PPP. Your question is pretty broad. The answer is yes. Specifically, TCP/IP SLIP would be one way to do it. No doubt there are others.
