Error message which I don't understand

In a continues subform I get the following error message when I enter a
value in the first field in the subform:
"A problem occurred while Microsoft Access was communicating with the OLE
server. Try one or more of the following:

*Make sure you're connected to the network server where the OLE server
application is located.
*Close the OLE server and restart it outside of Microsoft Access. Then try
the original operation again from within Microsoft Access.
*Reinstall the OLE server to ensure that it's registered."

I click "OK" and can continue register the record, but the next record gives
the same message.

In Microsoft knowledge base they say this is because of Norton Antivirus,
but I have not Norton on my computer at all. Do any of you know what could
cause this (except for Norton Antivirus)?
