Hi all
I am doing a page that will let you view any datasource remotely. It list
all of the tables, lets you add, delete and modify tables, shows you the
contents of all of the tables and lets you add, delete and modify columns
and add delete and modify rows.
I need to be able to get the column attributes like datatype and so on. I
have got the table list like this:

<cfquery name="tables" datasource=#variable.datasource#>
select name
from msysobjects
where flags = 0
and type = 1
</cfquery>

the columns like this:

<CFQUERY name="Columns" datasource=#variable.datasource#>
SELECT *
FROM #url.tablename#
</CFQUERY>
<CFLOOP INDEX="FieldName" LIST="#columns.ColumnList#" DELIMITERS=",">
#FieldName#<BR>
</CFLOOP>

But cannot work out how to get the data types. I really need this or I
cannot alter records as I do not know if I should put quotes around the
where and and clauses (where column_name = value [or 'value'].

Hope someone can help me out with this or I am really stuck.

Thanks
