Is it possible to use an automatic numbering for records in reports and forms without the numbering being included in a table. Description of my problem: I'm using an auto-numbering in my table to give the records a number, but when I use only a few records in a report (for example, I want to use record numbers 24 thru 44) I'd like the numbering in the report to start from 1 Does anyone have a sollution to this problem ? Thanks in advance Eli p.s. please reply to esmets@odl.vdab.be

There's a discussion and sample of how to create an auto numbering query for your report. Steve I've been meaning to tell you....your website is VERY nice, and one of the best ones I've seen in terms of design. If I ever get to the level where I want one, I'll need to "rent" your designer. <G> Annette "or perhaps a lease-option for my unmarried daughter" Marcucilli :) Steve Arbaugh wrote: > > H wrote in message <01bd0af9$dfc66ea0$ae434ec2@pc06.interpac.be>... > >Is it possible to use an automatic numbering for records in reports and > >forms without the numbering being included in a table. > > > >Description of my problem: > > > >I'm using an auto-numbering in my table to give the records a number, but > >when I use only a few records in a report (for example, I want to use > >record numbers 24 thru 44) I'd like the numbering in the report to start > >from 1 > > > >Does anyone have a sollution to this problem ? > > > >Thanks in advance > > > >Eli > > > > Eli: > > Yes you can do this, stop by our web site (address in sig) and look in the > tips area under queries.
