i have to make some crosstab queries but i have a little problem : i need to use a criteria that comes from a form but that simply doesn't work (and i know why !). I would like to use the something like this "[Forms]![SY_ASS DAYREPORT(SELECTION)]![Field33]" but i always have the following error : can't bind name. When i use it with a normal query there is no problem. Who can help me (i need tha criteria !!!). PS : access 2.0 with win 3.11

Remove them and there should be no problem. Also the form must be open before the query is run. If DAYREPORT(SELECTION) is not part of the form name, rather some kind of function, then you have got it in the wrong place. Good Luck! -Jer

Hi Marcel, Have you define it as a parameter? It happens often that a problem like that, in crosstab, is related to the fact that such parameter must be correctly "type"d. Hope it may help, Vanderghast, Access MVP marcel sporck <marcel.sporck@ping.be> wrote in article <01bca10b$9d747ae0$0b904ac1@pin14412.ping.be>... > i have to make some crosstab queries but i have a little problem : i need > to use a criteria that comes from a form but that simply doesn't work (and > i know why !). (SECTION). Can't you come up with a simpler field name on your form? -- Will accept programming assignments in Access 2.0 or '97. Single problems to complete applications.
