Hi, I'm trying to write an EMail client strictly for SMTP [Sending EMail Only]. I have tried, successfully, using various ActiveX controls and using MAPI. I want to try and create a program that uses no external files. The problem with MAPI is that it insists on having an Inbox and Address Book setup already. I just want to create a simple program that enables me to send an EMail message quickly with no frills. If anyone can help [VB, Access or C/C++], I'd be very grateful. Personal EMail replies would be welcome -> the-lone-ranger@clubi.ie Thanx in advance The Lone Ranger The Truth Is Out There X

Hi, easy! ... I have a beta program our company is in the middle of developing (along side 20 other projects, hence the beta!!) that might be what you're looking for. It is an email "server" that stores incoming and outgoing mail messages in standard dbase format (on a LAN if you wish), therefore you can very easily "attach" the dbase file within you Access / Paradox / Dbase / whatever application and incorporate email!! When you want to send/receive email you simply kick the server-progfram in ... it dials the Internet and sends/receives, then kicks out... simple! Email me if you want a copy of the beta ... and since you're in ireland you can buy me a beer sometime ;) As I said though, it is beta and therfore still has a few bugs to be worked out ... nothing serious though, as I have the program and an email client already up and working on my won 20-user lan.
