Description: Responsibilities/Duties: An immediate need for a Sr. Oracle DBA in Durham for a great client. ***Contract to hire***. This position is working in a production environment supporting numerous databases running Oracle 7.3.3 to 10G and SQL Server versions 6.5 to 2000. Must have Unix and Korn Shell Scripting and prefer to have Data Warehousing experience. Environment is constantly changing to support the third party applications.

Required Skills:
3-5+ years Oracle DBA
Unix
Korn Shell Scripting
Data Modeling (Tools)
RMAN
a) Logical and creative problem solving skills;
b) Ability to relate well to our existing group;
c) Technical Oracle-specific skills;
d) Ability to effectively communicate with users.
e) Desire for permanency;

Java Environment
Clinical Environment
FDA Regulated Environment
ISO 9000
SQL Server
