Hi...

Is there any way to change the way "deploy application" works ? I need
to have my application ready for distribution by Saturday and have a
problem I can't resolve.

The application I'm hoping has four executables - and I'd really like
icons to be created for each (BTW does the program group/item work under
W95 ?) Deploy only creates an icon for *one* executable... what's an
easy way of creating an icon for *each* executable, that will work on
Windows 3.x and 95 ??


Also, I'd like to avoid giving the user the option to select his own
directories for IDAPI and the application directory.

Any suggestions ?

You can manually modify the INSTALL.INI created by the VdB deploy utility.
Add an additional 'PMItem' for each .EXE that you wish to be included in
the program group:

  [PMItem IconTitle1
  PMGroup TestApp
  CmdLine &INSTAPP\APP1.EXE
  DefDir &INSTAPP
  ShowMin OFF
  Group INSTAPP
  ]
  [PMItem IconTitle2
  PMGroup TestApp
  CmdLine &INSTAPP\APP2.EXE
  DefDir &INSTAPP
  ShowMin OFF
  Group INSTAPP
  ]

You might be able to tweak INSTALL.INI for this as well. I haven't tried
it.
